Safari, the web browser that comes packages with apple products, is a robust and wonderful browser but even it needs some basic maintenance from time to time. This tutorial will walk you through clearing cookies collected by Safari when you visit websites.
Time: 1-2 minutes
Materials
A Macintosh computer running OSx
Method
Click on Safari, located on the top left corner of your screen, and then click on Preferences. This will open a pop-up window with tabs along the top.
Click on the Privacy tab.
Click on the Remove all Website Data button.
A pop-up message will ask if you are sure you want to remove the data. Click on Remove Now. The process of removing website cookies may take a few minutes.
TIP: Sometimes, if a cookie has become corrupted, removing cookie may cause Safari to crash. If this happens, open Safari again and follow the first two steps. In the
Privacy tab, instead of clicking on
Remove all Website Data, click on
Details which is located just underneath and to the right. This will open a new window where you can remove cookies one by one, or there is also another Remove All%% button.
