The top knot is one of the easiest ways to keep your hair out of your face, plus it looks great dressed up or dressed down. The top knot is tighter than many buns, without being overly prissy, which means you're less likely to have hair falling out throughout the day.
Time: 5 Minutes
Start by brushing your hair. Any knots in your hair are just going to get worse when you tangle them all up in a bun.
Tilt your head forward so that your hair hangs down over your face.
Grab all your hair together and twist it until it begins to curve round. You might want to use a hair brush before twisting to make sure you don't have any bumps in your hair.
Lift your head up with your hair still twisted, then keep twisting in the same direction so that it curves around itself, forming a bun.
Pin the loose hair into place, using bobby pins to secure it, and using bobby pins to pin any flyaways.
A good top knot will last you all day, but try not to do them too tight or you might find yourself with a bit of a headache.
