As we wave goodbye to Summer and enter the cooler months, rainy weekends are the perfect time for you to spend redecorating your bedroom. With a few small changes, you can freshen up your bedroom into all you have ever dreamed of!

Add more colour
Adding a fresh coat of paint and purchasing bright, bold accessories can help to freshen up the overall feel of your bedroom. If your walls and furniture are light or neutral colours, itís easy to purchase striking artwork, bright cushions and textured linen to add pops of colour. If you would rather keep your furniture and accessories more neutral, you may opt for colouring your walls with a fresh, vibrant coat of paint.

New bed linen
Nothing looks or feels better than new bed linen! Purchasing a new bright, plain or patterned quilt cover can change the whole look and feel of the room. If you are feeling like you need a big change, opt for purchasing a bold, statement quilt cover. Or if you are after something a little less bold, buy a fresh, crisp white cover and accentuate with colour. Here you can pair statement pillows and throws against the white to create a nice contrast.

Add textures
Adding texture to a room creates a comforting and homely feel. Itís also easy to regularly update making it a great option for freshening up a room! You can buy a thick, furry throw for winter and then swap it out for a light cotton sheet or throw in summer. You can also use different textures to add style to a bedroom. Braided rugs and rusted metals give a country feel to the room, whereas smooth velvet throws and embroidered fabrics give a romantic vibe.

Declutter
Organising and decluttering your space is an inexpensive way to change up the feel of your bedroom. You can buy some cheap plastic tubs from your local discount store, to hold rarely used or seasonal items. You can also purchase jewelry organisers, book binders and extra drawers for storage so your bedroom appears less cluttered.

Personalised pictures
Printing out your favourite images of loved ones is a great way to add a personal touch to your bedroom. Dressing your bedroom walls with hanging frames of your best memories is a great way to surround yourself with your happiest times. You may like to combine different styles of frames and textures to add a personalised feel.
