Everyone Loves A Freebie!
Being in the know of where you can source things for free can be pretty handy if you are on a tight budget! Here are some ways you can score some bargains without too much effort.
Have you ever looked on the freebies section or the swap and trade section of Gumtree? People are getting rid of so much stuff and don't want to muck around trying to sell it so list it for free. You can search for particular items in the search bar or just have a browse. If you don't need the item but know someone who does you might consider getting it to sell on to someone else and use the cash you make to buy what you need. In fact selling off freebies is one of the ways I recommend to make extra cash.
2. Buy Swap Sell shops and social media groups
In some areas there are swap shops where you can not only buy items at bargain prices but swap with what you have already. One example of this is baby goods stores where you can bring in your newborn clothes and swap them over for some clothes for your growing toddler.
3. Newsletter sign ups
Signing up to various newsletters can earn you great discounts but it also gives you first access to freebies that are being given away or up for review. Make sure you open all your newsletters and keep an eye out for product review applications.
PinchMe is a great site where you can join up and be eligible to test and review new products coming out. Products totally vary from food, cosmetics, health products and more. You can also earn "pinch points" for activity on the website including daily log ins, friend referrals and filling out the surveys.
5. Survey Reward Websites
Doing online surveys won't earn you money fast but it will build up over time. Some pay in money while others will pay in reward points that you can redeem for products or cash. Some reward sites I use are Pure Profile, Global Test Market and Rewards Central.
6. Entering competitions online
There are a few competition websites out there that are absolutely dripping with competitions you can enter for free. The harder the competition is to enter the less likely people are going to enter which means if you do, your chances of winning are higher! Put thought and effort into your entries to make yourself stand out. If competitions are your thing, I recommend having have a look at my guide to improving your chances of winning.
