Make A Simple Christmas Tree

Using a bit of paint and some recycled cardboard, here is a simple Christmas Tree which you can even take in your suitcase.

Time: 15 minutes (plus time for the paint to dry)

Materials

1 sheet strong cardboard
1 paintbrush
1 tablespoon green paint
Glue
Colorful decorations

Method

Make two identical outlines of your Christmas Tree shape on some strong cardboard.

Cut out the two cardboard trees and add a long thin slit at the top of one tree and another long thin slit at the base of the other tree.

Paint both the trees and decorate them however you wish (after the paint dries). We glued on lots of shiny ornaments, but you could use paper shapes or paint your own creative and wonderful designs.

Assemble the tree

Insert one side of your new tree into the other side, and it should stand by itself as a unique Christmas display. Perhaps you could also add some tinsel, an angel or a shiny star.
