Your employees are your biggest asset and keeping them happy and inspired can help you get the best results. Showing your employees that they are valued and appreciated through verbal encouragement and incentives can help strengthen relationships and also improve efficiency in the business. Say thank you
The easiest and simplest thing you can do is say thank you. This can be a way to recognise good work, a positive attitude or somebody helping others out. You can say thank you on an individual level or by bringing the whole team together and thanking everyone at a group level. Saying thank you also goes hand in hand with giving feedback. When thanking individual employees or the whole group, let them know what they did really well and why they are being recognised for this stand out work. Saying thank you provides your team members with encouragement because it makes them feel as though they are appreciated in the workplace.

Incentive event
An incentive event, also known as an incentive program is a planned business trip with the objective to encourage your team to achieve a specific goal. It is usually rewarded to a whole team or those who have achieved business goal that the whole organisation has been working towards. Incentive events are a great way to motivate your employees to work hard because it provides them with a tangible reward to achieve. An example of an exciting incentive event would be travelling to another country and visiting popular tourist spots. For example, visiting Sydney, Australia and visiting iconic places like The Rocks, Darling Harbour and coastal regions further away from the city.

Work-from-home day
Having a work-from-home day can be really motivating for employees to work towards. This can give them an opportunity to attend significant events like a child’s birthday or school assembly and allow them to have a relaxed environment to work in. Make your team members feel special on their birthday or special occasions by treating them to team outings. Host a team lunch in the office, throw after work drinks on a Friday or take the whole team out to a nice restaurant. There are many fun things you can do to show you care. Celebrating work anniversaries, personal achievements or work team achievements is a simple and fun way to let your employees know you care. It doesn’t have to cost a lot or be fancy, just having something small is enough to motivate your team and make them feel rewarded.
