It sounds a bit funny, but I'm sure we've all done it. When you have surplus amount of bread, and want to keep it fresh, store it in the freezer to use when you need it. It sounds simple enough, but when the time comes to defrost a slice of that frozen bread, that's when you can encounter problems.
Countless times have a tried to prize a slice of bread from the rest of the loaf. Instead of winning the battle, I have ended up with broken bits of bread, and I forgo the whole process because it is too much effort.
To save time, and mostly relish the chance of enjoying a slice or two of the bread you've frozen, try the following idea, and see how much easier it is to enjoy a slice of yummy goodness.
Time: 5 minutes
Materials
Squares of baking tray paper/plastic squares
Loaf of bread.
Method
Pre- sliced or not (you've sliced it yourself), remove the bread from the packaging.
Place a square of plastic in between each slice and create a sandwich, if you will, of bread - plastic sheet - bread - plastic.
Carefully place the separated bread in the original packaging and place back kn the freezer.
